Keep your voice
I let them take my voice,
drowning in their sorrow,
drinking in their worries,
of a world that isn’t mine. I let them take my voice,
hiding in their shelters,
embracing all their shivers,
in a tomb I couldn’t see. I let them take my voice,
riding on their highways,
forgetting about my upraise,
of how it all could surely be. I’m not letting them take my voice,
not will they chain my feathers,
yes, I will demand some answers,
should they shut me up again. Let no one take your voice,
for all you mean is blossom,
even if disguised by tantrums,
you have a chance to make things new.
drowning in their sorrow,
drinking in their worries,
of a world that isn’t mine. I let them take my voice,
hiding in their shelters,
embracing all their shivers,
in a tomb I couldn’t see. I let them take my voice,
riding on their highways,
forgetting about my upraise,
of how it all could surely be. I’m not letting them take my voice,
not will they chain my feathers,
yes, I will demand some answers,
should they shut me up again. Let no one take your voice,
for all you mean is blossom,
even if disguised by tantrums,
you have a chance to make things new.
