There's always light

There’s light in the world,
Even when none wants to be found.
It hides in the corners of despair,
Just waiting to be unbound.   There’s soul in you, and in us all,
Just screaming to be released.
It’s the sprinkled hope along the journey,
Wild spirits trying to break free.   There’s truth on the Earth,
Wisdom singing from our hearts.
It’s in the mother that carries us all,
And in the child that acts as our guard.   There are songs oozing from the birds,
The trees, and the whole theatre of life.
It’s just asking for you to listen,
To bury the hatchet, bury the strife.   There’s peace in this world,
It’s walking a strong yet silent crusade,
All that’s needed is for you to join in,
To remember, how dreams are made.   There’s a head to be held high,
A decision that lingers to be woken.
Do we banish dark and all it swallows,
Or leave those answers forever unspoken.
